Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Specialist/Trim Specialist to join our rotational molding department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves conducting inspections, performing tests, and working closely with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.  This position will also spend a great deal of time on special projects that involve intricate trimming on specials produced, along with training team members on how to trim these projects.  This position is hands-on working on special projects with incorporating quality assurance to the Plastics department on all orders produced.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Inspection: Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.

• Testing: Conduct physical and mechanical tests on molded products to verify adherence to design specifications and industry standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.

• Problem-Solving: Identify and analyze quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and work with the production team to implement solutions.

• Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

• Training: Assist in training production staff in quality standards and best practices.

• Hands-On: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.      

• Special Projects: Maintain and become the specialist who provides a high level of accuracy/quality in trimming special projects.                

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.

• Experience: Preferable 3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in rotational molding.

• Skills:

o Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices.

o Familiarity with rotational molding processes and materials.

o Proficiency in using measurement tools and testing equipment.

o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Technical Abilities: Experience with quality management software and basic data analysis.
